Why do Iyengar Yoga?
Kulbir has been practicising Yoga for over 30 years and is a fully certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher.
- Safe for all ages – adaptions are made for injuries, stiffness and hypermobility
- The Iyengar method involves clear demonstration and explanation of postures
- Strong focus on alignment and awareness of the body
- Individual correction and adjustment by the teacher when necessary – improving alignment
- Help the body better understand the actions of the pose by using props (e.g. blocks, blankets, belts – these are particularly useful for both people who are very stiff or have injuries)
- Careful sequencing to develop strength, flexibility, stamina, concentration and relaxation
